The SMARTCHAIN project is proud to present the “Best practice guide for improved business performance in SFSCs“. This is a guide for the application of reference exploitation models, improving business performance in SFSCs and helping farmers and food producers to capitalise on their distinctive territorial capital to foster sustainable growth and the development in rural areas. The guide starts from the business model canvas and, for each canvas building block, identifies recommendations and suggestions, based on the input of the case study of the SMARTCHAIN project, the project deliverables and the literature. Specific recommendations are then identified for each reference exploitation models, crossing with the canvas building blocks.
